In the restaurant world, Valentine’s Day earns notoriety for the amount of dessert people consume, rather than the amount of jewelry or roses they buy. One knows they are in a kitchen on Valentine’s Day when nearly every table orders at least one dessert, or more, to share. Something about love and romance seems to dictate the involvement of chocolate and sugar.
So in honor of the day that adults — both solo and twitterpated — consume sugar like unsupervised children on Halloween, I prepared a little trip. This “Tour de Sweets” includes unique spots worth travelling to with a special someone or a group of friends with the sole intention of satisfying a certain tooth.
Whether you pick one destination, sample several within a similar location or take the grand tour from Newport Beach to Westwood, enjoy this Valentine’s weekend and many to come with a hunger for adventure.
