Track and field competes at Pomona-Pitzer Invitational

Eagles perform strongly in hurdles and distance events at meet.

Biola’s track and field men’s team competed at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational in Claremont on Saturday.

Junior Marc Opena placed eighth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.24.
Fellow junior Danny Ledesma finished 19th  out of 136 in the 1500-meter run with a time of 3:57.39 while sophomore Andrew Daedler placed 43rd with a time of 4:02.99.

Junior Jordan Smith placed 54th out of 111 runners in the 100-meter dash, finishing with a time of 11.45.

Biola’s men and women’s team will both compete in the Soka Peace Invitational in Aliso Viejo on Friday.
