The new semester has begun, and on its heels are several exciting events inviting students to attend and participate. Listed below are a handful of dates to mark in your calendar for events happening throughout this spring semester. 

JAN. 16–26: ART LEAGUE’S STUDENT SHOW

Art League is hosting a gallery from Jan. 16–26 presenting all kinds of student work. Step inside the Bardwell Project Space to see the various artwork students are presenting for the next few days. A reception was held on Tuesday night.

JAN–FEB. 1: INKSLINGER JOURNAL SUBMISSIONS

Biola’s Inkslinger celebrates students’ work of poetry, fiction, non-fiction and black-and-white artwork in their annual literary journal. Inkslinger is open for submissions until Feb. 1 — check out their website or Instagram for further information.

FEB. 1–4: “THE GONDOLIERS” BY BIOLA OPERA

“The Gondoliers” is an opera by W.S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan telling a comedic story of an arranged marriage, young love and two gondoliers. The Conservatory of Music will host this event beginning Feb. 1. Tickets and more information can be on Biola University’s event page for The Gondoliers.

APR. 12: MOCK ROCK

Look forward to one of our beloved campus traditions, Mock Rock, a lip-syncing contest that celebrates the creativity and dedication of Biola’s students. More information can be found on Biola’s Preview Day schedule website.
