Hit and Run — Tradewinds Apartments 

Reported on Jan. 4, occurred on Jan. 3 at 11:30 p.m. 

A person not associated with Biola hit the apartment complex with their vehicle. Campus Safety followed up with the individual’s insurance company. The case has been cleared. 

Petty Theft — Hart Hall 

Reported on Jan. 9, occurred on Jan. 9 between 2:45 p.m. and 6:02 p.m. 

An unlocked scooter was stolen outside of Hart Hall. The incident was referred to Student Development. 

Petty Theft — Hope Hall

Reported on Jan. 11, occurred between Jan. 8 at 2 p.m. and Jan. 10 at 8 p.m.  

An unlocked scooter was taken outside of Hope Hall. The case remains active. 

Petty Theft — Student Union Building

Reported on Jan. 16, occurred on Jan. 12 at 4:35 p.m.  

A student’s personal property was stolen after being left unattended. The case remains active. 

Hit and Run — Myers Parking (Lot A)

Reported on Jan. 18, occurred between Jan. 18 at 8:15 a.m. and 12:50 p.m. 

A staff member’s vehicle was hit in Lot A. The case remains active. 

Petty Theft — Cafeteria

Reported on Jan. 20, occurred Jan. 20 between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. 

An unlocked scooter was stolen outside of the cafeteria. The case remains active. 

Trespassing — Olive Grove

Reported on Jan. 20, occurred Jan. 20 at 3:42 p.m.

A person not connected to the university was found on campus and was kicked off the grounds. The case has been cleared by exception. 

Petty Theft — Pool Area

Reported on Jan. 20, occurred Jan. 20 at 3:42 p.m. 

The same trespasser reported in Olive Grove stole some personal property. Campus Safety recovered the property and the case has been cleared. 

Hit and Run — Sutherland Parking (Lot B) 

Reported on Jan. 20, occurred on Jan. 10 between 9:30 a.m. and 5:10 p.m.

An employee’s vehicle was damaged in a hit-and-run. The case remains active. 

Vandalism — Roma and Figueras

Reported on Jan. 22, occurred on Jan. 22 at 11:33 p.m. 

A community member reported graffiti on one of the walls on the street corner. The case remains active. 

Trespassing — La Mirada Apartments

Reported on Jan. 22, occurred on Jan. 22 at 1:20 p.m. 

A transient was on the apartment grounds. Campus Safety responded and escorted the transient off the grounds. The case was cleared by exception. 

Possession of device for controlled substance — La Mirada Apartments

Reported on Jan. 22, occurred on Jan. 22 at 1:20 p.m. 

The same transient who was on the La Mirada Apartment grounds was found to possess a device used for smoking and ingesting a substance. The case was cleared by exception. 

Possession of a weapon — La Mirada Apartments

Reported on Jan. 22, occurred on Jan. 22 at 1:20 p.m. 

The same transient was found in a possession of a knife on campus property. The case was cleared by exception. 

Petty Theft — Hope Hall

Reported on Jan. 23, occurred on Jan. 8 between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.

A student had property stolen or lost, possibly in Hope Hall. The location of the incident is unclear, but Hope Hall was the last known place where they had their property. The case remains active.
