Two teens fired an assault rifle in a La Mirada residential neighborhood Wednesday at 11:25 a.m., according to Sergeant Mike Mendoza of the Norwalk Sheriff’s Department.
“[The] only additional information we have is that two vehicles were seen leaving the location. No one actually saw anyone doing … the firing. At this point we have very little information, the suspects are possibly two male Hispanics but we’re not sure,” Mendoza said.
The investigation is still ongoing as to whether or not the shooting was gang-related.
