Nina Corral

Nina Corral, Sports Editor

Nina Corral is a broadcast journalism major born and raised in Orange County, California. She currently works for the Los Angeles Angels, serves as the sports editor for The Chimes, and works in the athletics department, gaining valuable experience in the sports industry.

Nina is passionate about all things MLB and baseball-related. Her favorite teams are the Philadelphia Phillies and the Los Angeles Angels, and her favorite player is Bryce Harper. She credits her father and brother for introducing her to the sport.

Nina admires Rachel Nichols, Erin Andrews, and Alex Curry for being trailblazers in breaking the stereotype of sports being a male-dominated field. Their courage inspired Nina to pursue a career in sports journalism. In five years, she hopes to be a sideline reporter for MLB or host Quick Pitch.

This is Nina’s first year with The Chimes, and she’s excited to take on her role and grow as a writer while highlighting the athletes on campus.
