Nina Corral, Sports Editor
Nina Corral is a journalism major with a concentration in broadcast and a minor in communications. She was born and raised in Orange County, California.
She works for the Los Angeles Angels as a premium concierge, tour guide associate, and in Guest Relations. Nina is the sports editor for the Chimes and anchor, co-producer, and assistant director for Biolas broadcast show Eagle Vision. Nina also works for the athletics department and is getting valuable experience in what it takes to work in a sports environment.
Nina loves all things MLB and anything baseball-related. Her teams are the Phillies and Angels, and Bryce Harper is her favorite player. She has her father and brother to thank for getting her into the sport.
Nina Admires Rachel Nichols, Erin Andrews, and Alex Curry for being some of the first women to break the stereotype of sports as a male-dominated industry. Their bravery inspired Nina to pursue sports journalism. In five years, Nina hopes to be a sideline reporter for the MLB or host quick pitch.
This is Nina’s first year with the Chimes, and she is excited to take on the role. She is also super excited to grow as a writer and highlight the athletes on this campus.
