Getting to know your transfer athletes

Josh Miller, a transfer from the University of San Diego and Kennedy Chongo, who transferred from Trinity International University both have joined the athletic teams of Biola this year.
Josh Miller is a transfer student from Chino Hills, Calif. He has transferred from the University of San Diego where he played basketball. Kennedy Chongo is a transfer student from Lusaka, Zambia. He transferred from Trinity International University and is now on Biola’s men’s soccer team.

Biola alum Solomon Mercado tears up the Filipino courts

Solomon Mercado is a 2007 Biola graduate was drafted into the Philippine Basketball Association as the fifth overall pick during the annual draft held on Aug. 31, 2008.
The 2007 Biola graduate who once dominated Biola’s Chase Gymnasium was drafted into the Philippine Basketball Association as the fifth overall pick during the annual draft held on Aug. 31, 2008 at Market! Market! in Taguig, Philippines. Originally nabbed by the Philippine Alaska Aces (formerly known as Welcoat), Mercado explained the predetermined trade that sent him almost immediately to his new team, Rain or Shine, allowing him to play alongside top rookie pick, Gabe Norwood.

Women’s volleyball starts season in fourth place nationally

Men’s soccer takes down another team

Against Chapman University, Kennedy Chongo, a sophmore transfer, scored within the first half hour of the game to bring Biola to a win. He also helped in the victory against Westminster College in his assist to player Marco Ruvalcab.
