Eagle volleyball flies high against Mustangs and Cougars

Biola volleyball continued to dominate on Saturday, as they won against The Master’s College in 25-20, 25-15 and 25-21.
Biola volleyball continued to dominate Azusa Pacific this week, even as it felled The Master’s College. Biola got back on track this week after last week’s two tough losses derailed their 15-match winning streak. On Saturday, the Eagles traveled to Santa Clarita to take on The Master’s College, and walked away with the sweep, 25-20, 25-15 and 25-21.

Men’s soccer continues to succeed

Biola men’s soccer Saturday night, Oct. 4, won their first conference against league rivals Point Loma Nazarene University,.

Men’s soccer kicked off league play this week as they took on GSAC opponents The Master's College and Vanguard University. Unfortunately, the team did not begin league as well as they would have liked, tying the first game with Master's and losing by a single goal to Vanguard.

The women’s soccer team faced a 3-0 home defeat to open up their first GSAC game against The Master's College. The strong defense by the opposing team eliminated any goals by the Eagles’ offensive team. Master’s stopped five goal attempts, and Biola struggled to get down the field early.

The Biola cross country teams ran their last Division 1 invitational on Saturday in Riverside. The Biola women's cross country team recorded a 5th place finish among a contingent of 34 teams, while the men’s team placed 14th out of 25 with both teams making great times due to the lack of muddy or rugged terrain which made for a fast paced course at the UC Riverside invitational on Saturday.

Five things more unsanitary than a toilet seat

Toilet seats contain merely 49 microbes per square inch, whereas many other things are more infected with germs and hardly ever get sanitized.

There are countless kids who dream of playing under those bright field lights or being in the spotlight of the sports media. The truth is, not everyone ends up like an A-Rod or Michael Phelps. For seniors Kevin Fox and Curtis Jones, their lives represent the reality that sometimes dreams can change unexpectedly.

Intramurals kick into gear

The semester is now getting into full swing, the professors are piling on the homework, students are pulling all-nighters, and Common Grounds is becoming busier in the late evening hours. But there is something that students can look forward to without the pressure of academics: intramurals.

Biola fall sports start strong

Biola's fall sports teams are starting off their seasons with great scores, well-played games, and a plethora of talented athletes.
While most of the students arrive a few days before school starts, most of the athletes have been here at least a week longer. Fall sports begin immediately when school starts and right now they are in full swing. Biola’s fall sports are off to a great start.
