Biola baseball team suffer loss to Concordia, second game postponed

The Biola Eagles traveled to Irvine, California to play Concordia University in a doubleheader. However, they only completed one of those two games as the second game was called due to darkness.

Jessilyn Conicelli did both of those things with under five seconds left to put in the winning basket as Biola gets a hard fought road win over California Baptist in a GSAC game on Saturday night in Riverside.

Eagles sweep Hope International in softball

The latest in softball updates.
The Biola Eagles traveled to Walnut, California to play a doubleheader against Hope International on Friday. The Eagles came in and took care of business, sweeping Hope International on their home field by a score of 7-2 the first game and 5-2 the second game.

Competitive volleyball club team kicks off season

A men’s volleyball team here is new at Biola this year and have started the year off in competitive spirit.
Although there is no varsity men’s volleyball team here at Biola, there is a highly competitive club team. They play in the Southern California Collegiate Volleyball League (SCCVL), which consists of teams like Point Loma, UCSB and Azusa Pacific, to name a few.

The Biola men’s basketball team suffered a last minute letdown in a key GSAC match-up against No. 11 Concordia on Saturday night, and lost 54-47, despite leading for most of the game and holding Concordia to a two-year low in points scored.

Softball team falls to Point Loma in doubleheader

The softball team clashed with Point Loma Nazarene University on Tuesday’s home doubleheader; unfortunately, their strong offensive efforts were no match for Point Loma’s All-American pitcher, junior Tyler Lent. The Eagles lost both games, 0-8 and 0-7, which snaps their previous three game winning streak, putting their overall record at 3-2 while Point Loma improves to 9-0 overall.

The women's basketball team is currently ranked No. 20 in the latest NAIA national poll, a position thatwill help them reach their goal of National Championships, which will beheld in Tennessee this year. They also have a record standing at 14-8, which ranks them fifth in the GSAC. Check out the video for a look at the team's work in the game and out.
