Track team breaks six school records in GSAC championship

The Eagles’ track and field team continued to reach new heights in their record-setting season. During the GSAC championship, held on Saturday at Point Loma, the Eagles broke six school records on the way to a fifth-place finish for the women’s team and seventh-place for the men.

The crucial last two weeks of the season are over, and the Eagles are in great shape. They ended with a 4-3 win in Tuesday’s final away game against Fresno Pacific, but their victory was no walk in the park.

No. 1 Cal Baptist too much for Biola softball team in GSAC doubleheader

Biola faced a streaking team in the top-ranked Cal Baptist Lancers, who used strong offense and good pitching to sweep a GSAC doubleheader by scores of 6-1 and 8-0 on Saturday afternoon in Riverside.

Despite scoring just one run in two games, Biola was able to split a GSAC doubleheader against No. 18 The Master's College on Saturday, falling 7-0 in the first game and winning 1-0 in the second.

Eagles baseball slowly fighting back after disappointing start

Things haven’t gone exactly as planned this year for the Biola baseball team. Coming into the season as the No. 4 team in the NAIA and with seven returning starters, Biola opened the year with a 1-6 record, knocking them out of the top-25, and it has been an uphill battle ever since.

Men’s baseball team splits with No. 3 Point Loma Nazarene
Taylor Loop went 3-for-4 and had a key two-run double as Biola came back from an early six-run deficit and beat No. 3 Point Loma Nazarene 9-7 in the first game of a GSAC doubleheader on Saturday afternoon. The Sea Lions won the second game by a score of 11-0 to salvage a split.

Women’s softball team falls short in a pair of close games
Biola battled well against No. 3 Point Loma Nazarene in a GSAC doubleheader on Saturday, but ultimately fell a run shy in each game of the twinbill by scores of 3-2 and 4-3.

Biola softball fell to No. 11 Concordia in both games of Tuesday’s doubleheader.
It was a hard blow after recently improving in the rankings after sweeping Vanguard in a doubleheader Saturday afternoon.

Women’s basketball team makes history by attending NAIA tournament for fourth time

Biola women’s basketball made history by attending the NAIA National Tournament for the fourth time in the school’s history and taking home its first tournament win against No. 9 Trevecca Nazarene University.
However, the team was unable to pull out a win in their second game, falling 96-75 to the Lee University Flames.
