What’s so bad about a little cuss word?
I have to admit, I have had a few choice words when I am upset. I have cursed everything from my laptop to my own idiocy when I forget something important. I am sure most of us, although I am making a conjecture, have at one time or another cursed out loud or in our minds.

Saying goodbye — and roommate tension at Ikea
It's official. I have decided to move out of my old apartment. Strangely, despite their own consideration to move, my roommates have taken the initiative to fill our apartment with new furniture from Ikea, which as far as home furnishing goes is one step below Legos, yet one step above Mega Blocks.

Flu fear goes too far
Over the past two weeks there has been media craze over an impending pandemic outbreak of swine flu. In airports around the country, people don masks, and in Mexico all schools are shut down and businesses are slowly closing. On the brink of disaster, the global community waits and fears the worst.

Global warming: A valid concern
The fallacy of generalization happens quite often. It is not uncommon, while standing with a group of friends, to hear someone say something like “all chick flicks are so ushy-gushy, I can’t stand ’em.” At the risk of overanalyzing small-time comments, it is quite common for generalizations to become the socially accepted definition of a term.
Case in point: global warming.

Birds of a feather

I have only ever eaten duck once. On the other hand, I have had numerous experiences visiting the nearby public park and realizing I have nowhere to sit due to the plethora of duck poop on every bench. With this in mind there has always been a vast incongruousness to the give-and-take relationship between the ducks and me: I don't eat nearly enough duck to justify my consistent lack of benches. I thought we had a deal. Instead, I'm getting robbed. Robbed by poultry.

Tips from the bad boy
**Q** - "I’m a nice guy, and I honestly never get the girls. Or the one girl I want. Why does the ‘bad boy’ always get the girls?"
**A** - My friend, like you, I have often pondered this question. For the longest time I thought just as you probably have: “I'm a nice guy, I pay for everything, I'm supportive, and I always treat women with respect. So why would girls not like me?” It's a puzzling question. But there really is a method to a bad boy’s madness, and you don't have to be a jerk to take some pointers from his seemingly evil but suave ways.

Dance Dance Revolution

Of all the things Biola University has made me give up for the sake of their student contract (cat juggling) dancing was certainly one I thought I would miss. It's taken me this long to accept their online censorship program, Websense, as a common daily occurrence, I just assumed that in time my need to dance would ebb away. It was hard for me to find out that my kind of dancing, which includes lots of shaking and repeatedly pointing towards a specific body part, simply isn't appropriate for this atmosphere. Oh, I'm sorry Biola, I thought this was America.

Paul Harvey and My Grandpa: Finding peace in the midst of death
On Saturday, in Phoenix, Ariz., Paul Harvey, the long time radio host passed away. He was 90 years old. Harvey happened to be the “most listened to radio personality in America,” according to an ABC press release issued shortly after his death.
Even though the world mourns the loss of a great man, just as my family mourns my grandpa’s death, there is a peace in knowing where they are now.
