The La Mirada Theatre is about a mile away from the Biola. It’s within walking distance, making it a great place to visit for those living on campus.
Listed below are several events that will be taking place at the theatre in the next few weeks.
FEB. 28: THE GREAT GATSBY BALLET
This ballet adaptation of the novel, The Great Gatsby, will be showcasing its world premier on Feb. 28 at 7 p.m.
The production, by the World Ballet Company, features a multinational cast of 40 dancers in a jazzy world of the Roaring Twenties.

MARCH 2: A TOAST TO STEVE & EYDIE
This musical performance celebrates the legacy of Steve & Eydie, an American pop vocal duo consisting of Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gormé. The performance showcases the duo’s son, Emmy-nominated composer David Lawrence, as well as Tony Award winner Debbie Gravitte, accompanied by a live orchestra.
The performance will be taking place on March 2 at 3 p.m.

MARCH 6-7: HE LIVES IN YOU
The Valley Christian Schools presents Broadway Showcase 2025: He Lives In You. The Broadway Showcase is an annual event where Valley Christian students from kindergarten to 12th grade perform a Broadway revue-style show that combines music, dance and stage performance.
The performance will be taking place on March 6 at 7:30 p.m. and March 7 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

MARCH 8: INVINCIBLE: A GLORIOUS TRIBUTE TO MICHAEL JACKSON
This show encapsulates the music of Michael Jackson, from his early days to his successful career as a solo performer. By combining music and choreography, the show claims to capture the essence of experiencing a Michael Jackson show.
The performance will be taking place on March 8 at 8 p.m.

MARCH 9: DRAGONS & MYTHICAL BEASTS
This show is a show that displays mythical beasts from various cultures throughout the world in a theatrical, yet audience-interactive way. It’s intended for families with young children.

MARCH 12: C.S. LEWIS ON STAGE
This theatrical play explores the life of the famous Christian author C.S. Lewis, portrayed by actor Max McLean. This show was brought to La Mirada in a partnership between Biola’s School of Fine Arts and Communication and the Fellowship for Performing Arts.
The performance will be taking place on March 12 at 7 p.m.
