Power returned to campus at 1:52 p.m. after it went out around 12:50 p.m. Facilities Management determined the power went out after a transformer blew on Foster Road and La Mirada Boulevard. They expect power to return at around 1:50 p.m. Automatic doors, wifi and lights have all been shut off throughout campus.

The Campus Safety building, Metzger Hall and the Lim Center all have backup generators and Facilities Management set up a gas generator at the health center.

Biola’s safety texts announced classes will be suspended until around 2:00 p.m. when power returns.

This is a developing story and will be continually updated.
