The Biola softball team continues to trend upward as the season progresses. Now sitting at 26-15 overall, Biola has put together a 12 game win streak that has set the tone of its season.
STRONG WEEK SETS THE TONE
Biola’s momentum continues to rise after another dominant week against Chaminade University, Azusa Pacific University, and Vanguard University.
Across all of the games, Biola remained composed and consistent, completing a sweep of Chaminade before carrying that energy into matchups with Azusa Pacific and Vanguard. Rather than relying on one standout performance, the team built wins through well rounded team performances, combining offense, pitching and defense. That consistency has been the defining factor in the current streak.
PITCHING CREATES STABILITY
A major part of this win streak has come from performances in the circle.
Senior public health major DJ Symons has delivered in key moments, limiting free passes and keeping opposing hitters off balance. Her ability to control the pace of the game has helped Biola hold leads and navigate close situations.

Senior business administration major Kayla Bousquette has added another layer of reliability, pitching deep into games and helping the defense to be steady behind her. Together, the pitching staff has set the foundation for the team’s recent success.
OFFENSE STEPS UP
At the plate, Biola has found a rhythm that extends throughout the lineup.
Junior liberal studies major Lillianna Garcia has been one of the more consistent contributors during the win streak, helping generate runs across multiple games. Still, the offense has not been dependent on a single player. Production has come from different spots in the lineup, making it difficult for opponents to adjust. Timely hitting and situational awareness have both allowed Biola to take control early and maintain that advantage late in games.
MOVING FORWARD
With conference play continuing, Biola’s current position reflects a team that is working together. The combination of controlled pitching, consistent offense and clean defense has turned recent games into complete performances rather than isolated wins. More importantly, the team has shown it can sustain that level across multiple series.
