The start of the 2023-24 academic year brings a renewed sense of excitement and eagerness among students, staff and faculty. With a new start comes a new slew of events.
Biola’s Conservatory of Music ushers in old and new programs for students, staff, faculty and guests to attend, allowing both students and guest musicians to perform on campus. Here is a preview of some events the Conservatory has planned for the fall.
Sep. 20: Ken Aiso, an internationally acclaimed violinist and violist will perform at “Music at Noon.” A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music in London, Aiso performed as a soloist and an orchestral musician worldwide.
Oct. 7: Pianist Boris Berman will join the Conservatory of Music for a concert and a masterclass for Conservatory piano students. Berman studied at Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory and has performed regularly in over fifty countries.
Oct. 25: “An Evening of Piano Music” will feature several student pianists from Biola as they perform a series of solo pieces.
Oct. 28: The Conservatory of Music will host their 31st annual PRISM Concert. The performance will feature various Conservatory ensembles as well as several student soloists.
Nov. 2: “Music at Noon: New Music Ensemble” will feature a new musical repertoire performed by Conservatory students.
