Biola suffered a huge loss against Cal State University San Bernardino, 62-82.

The game started out close as the teams swapped leads, but Biola quickly fell behind as CSUSB’s Brandon Knapper erupted for 15 of his 29 total points in the first half. The Eagles found themselves behind early on and never recovered as they gave up multiple runs where CSUSB outscored them at least 8-0.

TOUGH GAME

In the second half, the scoring was much more back-and-forth with San Bernardino’s lead never in danger of being lost as they finished shooting 50% from beyond the arc on 22 attempts. Another factor that led to the big gap on the scoreboard was Biola’s transition defense, giving up 16 fast break points and allowing 18 points off their mistakes.

The Eagles failed to take advantage of scoring inside, although four players managed to finish in double figures.

Biola looks to put this loss behind them when they play CSU Dominguez Hills in Carson, CA on Nov. 22.
