After a shocking loss to Academy of Art last week, Biola took down conference rival Point Loma on senior night, winning in four sets. The Eagles redeemed themselves with this victory and honored seniors Brie Nishimura and Madison Beebe.

COMPLETING THE UPSET

The Eagles demonstrated their authority early, taking the first set with Anna Aubele’s nine kills in the first match, tallying 16 in total to finish the game. Going into the second set, the Eagles offense was sloppy: ten attack errors and four straight errors gave Point Loma the win. It was a solid third set as the Eagles won four straight points after being tied at 20-20. Senior Madison Beebe electrified Chase Gymnasium with back-to-back blocks and a final kill to clinch the third set, giving Biola the 2-1 lead.

Biola capped off the upset by starting off the fourth set with a 13-5 run, with 15 kills to soundly defeat the Sea Lions 25-18. Biola will finish off their season at 1 p.m. on Nov. 12 at Concordia Irving
