On Jan. 29, students received an email from Director of Student Health Sarah Templeton informing them Biola has had at least three or more positive cases of COVID-19. Per county guidelines, a cluster of three or more cases that have an epidemiological link implies an outbreak.
Biola immediately took action by isolating and quarantining those involved with the incident. COVID-19 protocols, such as contact tracing, have also been executed.
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health has set up signs where the outbreak occurred. LACDPH will revisit campus next week to further assess the situation.
No further news is available on the matter at this time.
