Volleyball flips the script, sweeps Sonoma State

The Eagles moved to 2-2 in the West Region Showcase and 4-3 in nonconference play.

Hours after suffering their first three-set sweep of the season, Biola volleyball turned around and swept Sonoma State University over three dominant sets. The Eagles led in every major statistical category and recorded all seven aces in the match.

Redshirt sophomore outside hitter Christina DenBoer led the way with a game-high 12 kills. Meanwhile, the tandem of senior setter Brinley Beresford and sophomore libero Sami Hover recorded 16 assists and 11 digs, respectively.

Senior opposite hitter Karly Dantuma ended the match with a kill to give the Eagles their first win by way of a sweep in 2018.
