The Eagles’ women’s basketball team trounced their arch-rival in a 61-56 upset win over No. 5 Azusa Pacific on Tuesday night at Chase Gymnasium.

The Eagles improve to 9-3 on the season and to 2-2 in GSAC play. They also move to 4-1 in games against ranked teams this season. The Cougars drop to 11-3 overall and are also 2-2 in conference action.

For the men, the picture was more grim. A pair of long, scoreless droughts proved to be to much for Biola to over come as the Eagles lost 73-61 to APU in a GSAC game on Tuesday night in front of 1,728 fans.

The Eagles had their three-game winning streak snapped with the loss and drop to 10-4 on the season and to 1-3 in conference play. The Cougars move to 9-5 and 2-2 in the GSAC.
