You might think of “The Happiest Place on Earth” as a crowded kingdom filled with food, tourists, attractions and entertainment, but did you know that there are a few solitary spots in the amusement park where serious studying can get done?

Yes, the words “studying” and “Disneyland” can go together. One of these ideal spots is located in Disney’s California Adventures theme park, in a somewhat secluded area in between the Bountiful Valley Farmers Market and the Mission Tortilla Factory. Except for announcements and music projected by loudspeakers, this region of California Adventures is pretty quiet because there are few rides in this location.

Adjacent to the Bountiful Valley Farmers Market is an arrangement of tables and chairs that will remind you of a picnic set-up. There are numerous wooden benches with blue or yellow tarp-like coverings for shade; the area is surrounded by large trees and is bordered by a small wooden fence. While families can be found in this area taking a break in-between rides or enjoying smoothies from the popular San Andreas Shakes booth, students can also be seen reading or completing assignments in this area.

To find this study spot, walk past A Bug’s Land and veer to the left – you will see the tall smokestack of the Mission Tortilla Factory, and to the left of that, you will find the picnic tables. It is a good change of scenery and a quiet place to read … and there are many choices for refreshments if you need a study break! The Bountiful Valley Farmers Market offers a variety of “picnic favorites,” including an assortment of sandwiches and wraps; if you are looking for a heartier meal, the Pacific Wharf Café is only a few minutes away.
