Crime Log: Mar. 6 – 12

This week’s crime log consists of incidents including sexual battery, petty theft, and a hit and run.

Hit and Run: Property Damage ― Lot A (Myers)

March 9, 8:52 a.m.

The incident was originally reported to Campus Safety as a hit-and-run. Campus Safety was able to contact the drivers involved and connect them with each other. The case has been cleared.

Petty Theft ― Sutherland Hall

Reported March 9, incident occurred between Feb. 20 at 8:00 a.m. and Feb. 23 at 12:00 p.m.

A student’s bicycle was stolen from the bicycle rack outside Sutherland Hall. Campus safety took the report and forward it to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department upon request of the victim. LASD is still investigating the incident.

Disturbing the Peace ― Track and Field

March 11, 11:12 p.m.

A student complained about students on the soccer field loudly using profanity. An officer made contact and asked them to stop.

Sexual Battery ― Off Campus

Reported March 12, occurred Sept. 2013

Both parties involved were Biola students. It was determined no crime occurred and there was nothing further for Campus Safety to investigate. Student Development is overseeing the situation.
