Crime Log: Feb. 4 — Feb. 9

Fire and vandalism make up this week’s crime log.

Petty Theft — Hart Hall

Reported Feb. 4, an incident occurred between Feb. 3 at 10:30 a.m. and Feb. 4 at 3:00 p.m.

A bicycle was stolen from the bicycle rack outside of Hart Hall. The suspect has not been apprehended.  

Fire, accidental cause — Biola Ave.

Feb. 6, 12:17 p.m.

Construction workers on Biola Ave. saw smoke and fire but did not know how it was caused. It occurred on Biola Ave., but was not related to campus. The Los Angeles County Fire Department came and extinguished the fire.

Vandalism — Rancho Campus

Reported Feb. 6, occurred prior to Feb. 6

Graffiti was found in the bathrooms. A work order has been placed to Facilities Management to cover the graffiti.

Disturbing the peace — Tropicana Apartments

Feb. 6, 10:15 p.m.

A resident complained about a neighbor being loud and yelling. Officers made contact and asked them to quiet down.

Disturbing the peace — Baseball Field

Feb. 7, 11:17 a.m.

A student complained about loud music. An officer asked the baseball players to lower the music.

Disturbing the peace — Lido Apartments

Feb. 8, 11:40 p.m.

A resident complained about a loud noise from a neighbor. An officer came and asked them to stop.  

Disturbing the peace  — Grove Modulars

Feb. 9, 10:37 p.m.

Students were playing on the sand volleyball courts in the Grove. An officer made contact with the individuals and asked them to quiet down.
