Crime Log: Sept. 16 — Sept. 21

Instances of vandalism and petty theft make up this week’s crime log.

VANDALISM — RANCHO PARKING LOT A

Sept. 16, 2:07 p.m.

A stop sign at the Rancho campus parking lot was vandalized. The investigation is still active.

PETTY THEFT — CHASE GYMNASIUM

Sept. 16, 3:45 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Multiple items were stolen out of the gym. The investigation is ongoing.

DISTURBING THE PEACE — HOPE HALL

Sept. 17, 1:27 a.m.

Stomping and sounds of moving furniture were reported as coming from an upper floor in Hope. An officer arrived on site but could not find the source of noise.

Sept. 18, 10:30 p.m.

Stomping and sounds of moving furniture continued to come from an upper floor in Hope. An officer went back to the site but still could not find the source of the noise.

Sept. 18, 11:01 p.m.

Students were playing basketball on the Hope basketball courts after hours. An officer made contact and asked them to stop.

DISTURBING THE PEACE — LOT S

Sept. 19, 1:33 a.m.

An officer on patrol found a dance group in the parking structure making noise after hours. An officer asked them to stop.

PETTY THEFT — BUSINESS BUILDING

Sept. 19, between 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.

A cell phone was reported stolen from the business building. The investigation has not been resolved yet.

PETTY THEFT — STUDENT SERVICES BUILDING

Between Sept. 11, 1:30 p.m. and Sept. 17, 12:30 p.m.

Some items were stolen out of the student services building. The investigation is still active.

DISTURBING THE PEACE — HOPE HALL

Sept. 20, 12:09 a.m.

Students were playing basketball on the Hope basketball courts after hours. An officer made contact and told them to stop.

TRESPASSING — LOT G

Sept. 21, 3:25 p.m.

Two individuals trespassed on campus. An officer informed them of Biola’s trespassing policy, and asked them to leave.  

DISTURBING THE PEACE — TRADEWINDS APTS

Sept. 21, 10:17 p.m.

A noise complaint was called in about students dancing loudly on an upper floor. An officer reminded them of the noise policy and asked them to stop.
