Crime Log: Sept. 9 — Sept. 16

Incidents of theft, fire and underage alcohol consumption occurred this week on campus.

DISTURBING THE PEACE — WORSHIP CENTER

Sept. 9, 10:31 p.m.

A Hope resident called in a noise complaint about practice occurring in the worship center with the door open. An officer spoke with the band members, telling them to keep the noise level down and close the door.

MINOR POSSESSING ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE — TRADEWINDS APARTMENTS

Sept. 10, 9:00 p.m.

An underaged student was found in posession of alcohol. Campus Safety referred the individual to Student Development.

FIRE — ACCIDENTAL CAUSE — HORTON HALL

Sept. 10, 3:05 p.m.

A student’s bedding caught on fire from an electrical outlet. Campus Safety was called, but by the time they arrived, the fire had been put out.

GRAND THEFT — MARSHBURN HALL

Sept. 11, between 1:25 p.m. and 4:15 p.m.

A bicycle was stolen outside Marshburn Hall. The theft is still under investigation.

DISTURBING THE PEACE — LOT S (lower campus parking structure)

Sept. 12, 12:26 a.m.

A student called in a noise complaint after Nationball. By the time an officer arrived, students were leaving.

PETTY THEFT — CAF

August 29, 11:00 a.m. through Sept. 12, 10:00 a.m.

A bicycle was stolen from the bike rack outside the cafeteria. The suspect was apprehended by Campus Safety, who turned the individual over to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.

PETTY THEFT — TALBOT EAST

Sept. 12, between 3:50 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Someone witnessed two individuals stealing bicycles from the bike rack by Talbot East. Campus Safety is still investigating the theft.

TRESPASSING — HORTON

Sept. 16, 4:00 p.m.

An individual was apprehended for trespassing outside of Horton by Campus Safety officers, who turned the individual over to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
