Several instances of disturbing the peace took place during the summer.

TRESPASSING — SOUTH CAMPUS (SOCCER FIELD)

July 8, 12:03 p.m.

A group of non-students gathered to play soccer on the field.

DISTURBING THE PEACE — HOPE HALL

July 8, 11:06 a.m.

Neighbors complained about noise coming from Hope Hall. Residents were asked by officers to return to their room.

PETTY THEFT — HORTON HALL

July 9, 7-11 p.m.

A bag was reported stolen from a Horton room, but was found later in the Caf.

DISTURBING THE PEACE — SOUTH CAMPUS

July 10, 11:07 p.m.

Neighbors complained about noise coming from south campus, but the noise stopped by the time officers arrived.

TRESPASSING — TRACK AND FIELD

July 11, 12:26 p.m.

Four individuals not associated with the university played soccer on the field.

Petty Theft — Hope Hall

July 21, before 4:13 p.m.

Several signs went missing outside of Hope Hall.

TRESPASSING — METZGER

July 23, 3:22 p.m.

An individual who did not belong on campus tried to get into contact with people in Metzger and officers asked her to leave.

PETTY THEFT — HART HALL

June 28, 12:01 a.m. through July 12, 11:50 a.m.

Various items went missing from Hart Hall over the summer.

PETTY THEFT — SIGMA CHI

July 31, 11:27 a.m.

Items went missing after a conference ended.

TRESPASSING — LOT D (VISITOR)

Aug. 4, 9:53 a.m.

An individual, who was previously warned about being on campus, was found trespassing and escorted from the premises.

VANDALISM — SOUTH CAMPUS

Aug. 12, 9:40 p.m.

Someone scratched initials into a bathroom stall located in the men’s restroom in south campus.

TRESPASSING — ROSE APARTMENT 1

Aug. 19, 9:41 a.m.

An individual jogged behind the parking lot and an officer told the individual that it was private property.

VANDALISM — SOUTH CAMPUS

Aug. 19, 3:47 p.m.

An individual was observed attacking a car with a baseball bat. Neither the individual nor the car were associated with the university. The issue was referred to the sheriff’s department.  

OBSCENE OR THREATENING TELEPHONE CALLS — CAMPUS SAFETY COMMUNICATIONS CENTER

Aug. 20, 11:08 a.m.

An individual called and made harassing religious statements.  

OBSCENE OR THREATENING TELEPHONE CALLS — CAMPUS SAFETY COMMUNICATIONS CENTER

Aug. 21, 8:04 a.m.

The same individual continued to call campus and made harassing religious statements.

TRESPASSING — CHASE GYMNASIUM

Aug. 21, 2:11 p.m.

A former Biola student took photos of the female players during a volleyball game. An officer asked him to leave, and learned that the individual had been expelled from the university. Campus Safety referred the issue to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Departments and the individual is no longer allowed on campus.

Aug. 22, 3:30 through Aug. 23, 12:30 p.m.

A bike was stolen from bike rack outside of Sigma.

PETTY THEFT — SIGMA CHI

Aug. 24, 9:30 a.m. through Aug. 25, 10:30 a.m.

A bike was stolen from the bike rack outside of Sigma.

DISTURBING THE PEACE — HOPE HALL

Aug. 29, 11:46 p.m.

Students playing basketball on the court outside of Hope Hall after hours were asked to stop.
