The first Associated Students senate meeting back from Easter break consisted of one proposal and a same-day vote.

PROPOSAL

To begin this week’s meeting, Colin Callahan, a sophomore journalism major, along with a team of students proposed a pool party to promote the use of Biola’s pool.

“The pool party won’t just allow the students to come together … but it will also give us an opportunity to represent the pool,” said Catherine Streng, a sophomore journalism major.

The proposed amount of $680.90 covered the cost of a DJ, snacks and decorations. The Aquatics Center partnered with the proposers to fund the promotional costs of the event.

VOTING

In a same day vote, the senate voted to pass the pool party proposal in the full amount of $680.90. The event occurred May 2.
