AS Senate Rundown: Nov. 21, 2013

The Senate passed an amendment that will change the structure of AS and announced election information night.

This week's AS Senate meeting began with an update on upcoming events. The annual "Study Break" event will occur on Sunday, Dec. 15. The event will be reindeer themed. 

Voting

The senate voted on Paul Maerten and Michael Asmus' proposal for their film, "The Last Raptor." The proposed amount of $1,515 was intended to cover the cost of promotional materials for the premiere of the film in the spring semester. The senate passed the proposal in the partial amount of $510.

Next, the Senate voted on the constitution amendments proposed last week by the Constitution Committee. One of the major amendments deals with the structure of AS. AS will no longer consist of two branches, but rather three branches overseen by an executive board. The senate voted to pass all of the proposed amendments.
