When spring comes along, most people take it as an opportunity to do some spring cleaning in their homes — but overlook their closet. This season is the perfect opportunity to start fresh and reinvent your look. There are always trends from the runways that can easily translate into your everyday wardrobe.

Patterns for spring

The typical pastels and floral prints are spring staples, but you should always make a trend your own by incorporating your personality. Try adding pieces from other seasons to give your wardrobe a more edgy feel.

Stripes are always huge for spring, so try a pastel striped dress with a leather moto jacket to give it some edge. Using a white moto jacket will help a piece that was originally used in fall and winter transition easily into a spring wardrobe because of its soft color. You could try pairing it with a flirty dress and some Converse.

Layering clothes for seasonal transition

Some spring days are a little more crisp than others, so you might want to have a couple more layers to keep warm. Wearing a pair of printed pants with a striped tee and a basic jean long sleeve tied around the waist is a look that you’d want to wear toward the end of spring once it’s starting to warm up for summer. Mixing prints is also something that can turn your small wardrobe into something with incredible options for every occasion.

It is much easier for men to transition from winter to spring — but it is just as fun. Cut-offs are a perfect option for the change in weather, especially when paired with a cardigan. Since most men do not usually play with patterns, experimenting with different types of shoes, sunglasses or patterned belts can help a man add more personality to his spring wardrobe.

Be bold this spring

There are trends for every season, but a year-round trend is to find your own distinct style. Never be afraid to try something new or out of your comfort zone, because it could potentially become a part of your daily wardrobe. The best advice I can give is to be confident. If you’re confident in what you’re wearing it will translate into every aspect of your life and you’ll always be in style.
