PENDING

  • Associated Students president senior Chris Yim requested $1,500 for the AS Open Forum, which will be held sometime in November. The current date for the forum is Nov. 6, but may be changed, since the national election takes place on that day. The forum will be a place where students can bring their concerns or questions to the executive board.

“We want students to feel like we’re approachable,” said vice president junior Laura Cook. “This kind of event would further bridge the gap.”

The money would cover fees for facilities, apple cider and advertising for the event.

PASSED

  • Senators passed junior Off Campus Community senator Kayle Fields’ request for $4,256 for The Torch, Biola’s student radio station. Although The Torch will be receiving money from the journalism department, they want to get started on expanding this year. The money will cover LCD touchscreen monitors, software and an iTunes account.
