The Chimes

Addison Freiheit is a freshman Journalism major with a concentration in writing and publishing. In her free time she loves to be active, read a good book or FaceTime her family.

Hey! My name is Addi Freiheit and I am a journalism major with a concentration in writing and publishing. Biola gave me the perfect opportunity to escape the rains of Washington in favor of the Southern California sun. Growing up with my four younger brothers in a small town outside of Seattle was fun, but California feels more like home.

If I’m not writing an article or designing a website, I’m probably dancing, running, practicing yoga, playing soccer or eating. Exercise calms my anxious mind and provides me time to talk to the Lord, while my grandma’s baking cultivated my love for food. Those loves and my natural curiosity has led me down a rabbit hole of research about nutrition and the human body.

I knew that I was going to become a writer in fifth grade. Reading drew me into an incredible world of fictional characters, but I chose the journalism major because I also love people. I am so excited to see how God uses my passion for writing, photography and design to encourage and connect with others. Writing for The Chimes and The Point feels like the beginning of something wonderful.
