Melissa Dunnigan, a junior English major, loves a good book, baking for friends, and a cup of tea.

Born and raised in Sunland, California—a small, funky town in the northern foothills of Los Angeles—one of my fondest memories is being snuggled in my tree, reading an irresistible book. Besides good literature, I also love baking for my friends (please try my chocolate chip cookie recipe!). Black tea steeping in my “Italian Queen” mug completes the tableau. 

Ever since kindergarten, I have loved learning about and using languages. I later dreamed of going to college to explore this passion further. The day that I was accepted to Biola, allowing me to intentionally read, write, and even copy edit for the Chimes, was the day I realized that dreams really do come true.
