The Biola Athletics program is one storied with historic players, teams and achievements. Countless athletes have come to Biola University and enjoyed the peaks of their athletic prowess, creating memories on and off the field. On Saturday, Feb. 1, Biola University will welcome back its Athletics Alumni for a time of celebration and festivities capped with a doubleheader rivalry evening against Azusa Pacific University (APU). 

WHAT IS BIOLA ATHLETICS ALUMNI DAY?

This year marks the first-ever Biola Athletics Alumni Day. There have been Alumni Day celebrations in the past, but this specific celebration is special as it is a day of festivities where athletes both past and present celebrate the excellence of the Biola Athletics program together. This is a day of special community for Biola Athletics. The program is greatly on the upswing and competing at a high level. This celebration is a beautiful way to foster growth in a key Biola community.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN ON ATHLETICS ALUMNI DAY?

This day will be all about helping athletics alumni feel connected to the current Biola Athletics community and having fun in a way that helps them remember the joys that they had as a Biola Eagle Athlete. Some prevalent opportunities are a fun run with faculty and staff in the morning, an opportunity to get in the gym and lift, and many games and tournaments in whatever sport you did as a collegiate athlete throughout the day. Athletics Alumni can also take tours of Biola facilities, a great opportunity to reconnect and learn more about the beautiful and frequently changing campus.

RIVALRY NIGHT

All of these festivities will be capped off with the big doubleheader rivalry in the Chase Gymnasium starting at 5:30 p.m. where the Biola community can watch both the men’s and women’s basketball teams collide with APU. Both teams of both schools are prevalent in the hotly contested PacWest divisions, and these games are monumental for the teams’ prospects of success in the 2024-2025 season. 

Biola Athletics Alumni Day will be a great occasion for the Biola community. Great moments past will be celebrated by friends and family on and off the field of play. Memories will be both remembered and created all across a campus special to generations of people. Alumni are welcomed for free, and any guests can attend for a fee of $10 to cover food. Don’t miss out on a day of celebration and an evening of rivalry basketball!
