The Biola Athletics community is bold. This is how the program seeks to define itself in all its endeavors. Athletes and staff stand firm in their Christian beliefs, constantly seeking to grow through their competition, relationships with others, and in their spiritual walks. This mindset is on full display this week as the sixth annual Biola Athletics Week of Giving. From Monday, Oct. 28, to Friday, Nov. 1, the Biola Athletics Department is seeking contributions from the community to help the department continue its growth to higher levels of competition and excellence. 

WHAT IS THE BIOLA ATHLETICS WEEK OF GIVING

This is a week when the Biola Athletics Department reaches out to the Athletics community in search of support for the program. This is the sixth iteration of the event put on by Biola Athletics as they continue to strive to thrive despite the high costs of running a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II program. Through this Week of Giving, the program seeks to further improve the beautiful relationship that continues to be established between the Athletics Program and the broader Biola community. Biolans have been an integral part of the success of Biola Athletics through their loving support in many ways, and this Week of Giving is one of those ways that the community can continue to play a role in the success of the teams and their athletes. 

HISTORY OF THE BIOLA ATHLETICS WEEK OF GIVING 

This is the sixth year of this coming together of community and athletics, and every year, the Lord has continually blessed the program through this time. In 2023, the program was blessed with over $300,000 from gifts and donations. The department is aiming to clear that number this year, but are grateful for every gift they are blessed with, no matter what amount it may be. The aim is always to bring the community closer than before and provide long-term support and friendship that can drive the athletes and staff and the program as a whole towards the bright future ahead of them.

HOW CAN YOU HELP THIS CAUSE? 

All donations are sent in through a GIVE CAMPUS online platform accessible on the Biola Athletics Website. Here, you will see the progress the community has made towards the $450,000 goal set up. Donations are already flying in and the comradery on display is beautiful to see.  You can help this cause by donating at this link, spreading the word to friends and family, and most importantly, praying about giving to this cause and the program. The department is clear that all should pray about this and not give up without feeling led to or if you are not able to. This is a week for all connected to Biola Athletics to come together through generous giving in a shared vision of growth and celebration of athletics. So spread the word and do as you feel led!
