Fraudulent Use of Access Card ― Student Services Building and Library

Reported Feb. 25 at 9:03 a.m., occurred prior.

The ID Card office reported the fraudulent use of an access card after a card was reported missing. The card was reportedly used twice, though Campus Safety does not know whether a single person or multiple individuals used the card. The case remains active.

Attempted Extortion ― Metzger Hall

Reported Feb. 28 at 4:22 p.m.

A Biola employee reported a voicemail left to the university attempting to extort Biola. Due to the inactionable nature of the voicemail, the case was cleared with no follow up necessary.

Trespassing ― La Mirada Boulevard Gatehouse

Reported March 4 at 5:49 a.m.

On the morning of March 4, Campus Security noticed a transient who walked onto Biola’s campus. Campus Safety called in the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department to issue the individual an official trespassing warning. The case was referred to the LASD.

Grand Theft ― Tradewinds Apartments

Reported March 7 at 8:46 a.m., occurred between March 3 at 11:00 a.m. and March 4 at 2 p.m.

A student reported that parts were stolen from their car while it was parked in front of Tradewinds. The investigation is active.
