Crime Log―Nov. 17–Nov. 29

This crime log features multiple cases of hit and run, grand theft and defrauding of an innkeeper.

Hit and Run: Property Damage ― Lot C

Reported Nov. 17 at 1:09 p.m.

A staff member reported that the gate in Lot C was knocked off the tracks as a vehicle was exiting on Wednesday afternoon. There was no actual damage to the gate besides the dislodging. The case remains active.

Grand Theft ― 12675 La Mirada Blvd

Reported Nov. 18 at 3:50 p.m., occurred prior to 2:45 p.m.

A student reported that their catalytic converter was stolen while parked near the Biola professional building. The case was referred to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department for further investigation.

Hit and Run: Property Damage ― Rosecrans Avenue

Reported Nov. 19 at 1:17 p.m., occurred between 12:00 p.m. on Nov. 14 and 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 18.

A student reported that their vehicle was hit while it was parked alongside the Biola apartment buildings over the weekend.

The case is active with Campus Safety and LASD.

Hit and Run: Property Damage ― Lot G

Reported Nov. 21 at 4:53 p.m., occurred between 9 p.m. on Nov. 20 and 4:53 p.m. on Nov. 21.

A student reported that their vehicle was scratched while it was parked. The case is still active.

Defrauding an Innkeeper ― Café

Reported Nov. 29 at 11:15 a.m.

A student worker reported that two individuals—who were guests on campus—entered the Café without paying on Thursday morning. They were met by campus officers and resolved the issue by paying for their meals. The case was cleared by exception.
