The Student Government Association met for their biweekly senate meeting on Thursday to discuss the last proposal of the year. Bluff senator Schylar Turpel was responsible for presenting a proposal for SGA to bring an In-N-Out truck to Biola’s campus on April 29.
IN-N-OUT PROPOSAL
Turpel submitted the proposal on behalf of diversity coordinator Debra Mlambo and Student Development to have an In-N-Out truck come to campus on April 29. The event is a part of the wellness days to encourage students to come out of isolation and enjoy a day in the outdoors. Attendees will be provided with free In-N-Out.
There will also be an online campaign to encourage students away from campus to post a picture tagging SGA showing that they are outside. Students who participate will be entered to win one of ten $10 gift cards. The proposal was motioned to pass on the same day by Hope Hall senator Houston Reese. Senators passed it fully for the amount of $4,433.63.
Although senate is willing to fund the event, Campus Safety has yet to approve it due to L.A. County COVID-19 guidelines.
