Crime Log — Oct. 29 – Nov. 4

This week’s crime log features cases of trespassing, petty theft, hit and runs and more.

Battery — Bell Tower

Reported Oct. 29, 9:01 p.m.

A student reported a domestic disturbance in front of the Bell Tower. The two individuals involved are not affiliated with Biola and were given a trespass advisement. 

Trespassing — Library 

Reported Oct. 29, 9:38 p.m. 

The same two individuals involved in the battery were blocked from entering campus again after moving into the library. 

Disturbing the Peace — Hope Hall 

Reported Oct. 30, 12:37 a.m.

A resident reported loud noises coming from another room. Officers made contact with the noisemakers and the case was cleared by exception. 

Petty theft — Lot P 

Reported Oct. 30, 9:17 a.m., occurred prior to Oct. 29, 5:33 a.m.

A student reported items stolen from their unlocked vehicle. The case remains active and was reported to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department

Threatening Phone Calls — Horton Hall

Reported Oct. 30, 3:08 p.m., occurred between Oct. 29, 10 p.m. and Oct. 30, 1:07 a.m. 

A student reported being harassed over social media and via phone calls. The investigation remains active and was reported to LASD. 

Hit and Run: Property Damage — Olive Grove

Reported Oct. 31, 9:53 a.m., occurred Oct. 30, 12:23 a.m.

A campus employee reported property damage to the entrance next to Lot S. The case remains active and has been forwarded to Facilities Management

Disorderly Conduct — Rosecrans Ave. 

Reported Nov. 1, 1:27 a.m. 

Campus Safety officers observed, made contact with and reported three students under the influence. Campus Safety did not report what the alleged substance was. The students have been referred to Student Development

Hit and Run: Property Damage — Lot C

Reported Nov. 1, 9:38 a.m., occurred on Nov. 1, between 8:50 a.m. and 9:10 a.m. 

A student reported their vehicle’s bumper had been damaged. The student declined to report the case to LASD. The investigation remains active.

Petty Theft — Sigma Hall

Reported Nov. 2, 5:33 a.m., occurred on Nov. 2, 4:25 a.m. 

A student reported an unlocked bike missing from the upper bike rack at Sigma Hall. The investigation remains active. 

Hit and Run: Property Damage — Horton Way

Reported Nov. 3, 5:49 p.m. 

A student reported a vehicle for hitting a parked car in front of Sigma’s loading zone. The case remains active but the owner has declined to file a report with LASD.

Petty TheftHorton Hall

Reported Nov. 4, 11:55 a.m., occurred between Oct. 31, 9:53 p.m. and Nov. 1, 10:20 a.m. 

A student reported an unlocked bike stolen from Horton’s bike rack. The case remains active and was reported to LASD.
