Disturbing the Peace ― Sutherland Hall

Reported Feb. 27, 12:43 a.m.

Neighbors to campus reported loud music coming from Sutherland Hall. Officers found the source of the noise and it to be turned down. There was no further incident.

Disturbing the Peace ― Sigma Hall

Reported March 1, 3:05 a.m.

A resident reported other students for talking loudly after quiet hours. Officers made contact with the students and had them quiet down. There was no further incident.

Petty Theft ― Blackstone Hall

Reported March 1, 9:22 a.m., occurred between Nov. 27, 2018, 8 a.m. and March 1, 9 a.m.

A student reported some cash stolen from their room. The crime was not reported to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department but remains active.

Trespassing ― Hope Hall

Reported March 3, 3:11 p.m.

An officer observed two individuals wandering on campus without apparent cause. The officer made contact with the individuals at the basketball courts near Hope Hall and asked them to leave. The individuals left without further incident.

Trespassing ― Lot K

Reported March 3, 11:59 p.m.

An officer reported an individual who was allegedly there to work out, although he was not dressed in workout attire. Campus Safety notified the LASD when officers discovered the individual was previously issued a trespassing warning. The LASD had a separate trespassing warrant out for his arrest. The individual was arrested and taken off campus.

Petty Theft ― Off Campus

Reported March 6, 7 p.m., occurred between March 5, 6 p.m. and March 6, 10:45 a.m.

An off-campus driver who had parked in front of the Beachcomber Apartments reported the contents of their vehicle to be in disarray and a cellphone charger and some change missing. The driver could not confirm whether the vehicle was locked or not. The incident was not reported to the LASD but remains active.

Disturbing the Peace ― Rosecrans Apartments

Reported March 6, 7:50 p.m.

A resident reported a noise complaint against loud contractors working outside. Officers made contact and had the contractors move inside where it was quieter. The contractors compiled without further incident.

Disturbing the Peace ― Tropicana Apartments

Reported March 6, 9:48 p.m.

A resident reported students screaming, yelling and playing games. Officers made contact with the students and had them quiet down.
