Men’s tennis: Chapman overcomes Biola 6-3

Biola picked up a trio of victories on Friday in a non-conference match against Chapman University, but was unable to win the match, falling 6-3 to its local rival.

Biola picked up a trio of victories on Friday in a non-conference match against Chapman University, but was unable to win the match, falling 6-3 to its local rival. The Eagles drop to 1-8 on the season while the Wildcats improve to 3-3. Biola returns to action on Saturday, traveling to Riverside to face California Baptist.

In singles action Colin Snow picked up a win for Biola, defeating Chapman’s Tyler Martin 6-1, 6-3. Weston Leopold achieved a hard fought victory against Leland Buttle, 7-6, 7-5. In the doubles division, Nick Lazar and Brent Worthington served up the only doubles victory of the day for Biola, beating Klein and McCusker, 8-4.

Biola falls to 1-8 overall on the season.
