Local residents have been protesting their stance on election issues this year, gathering together on the streets in order to gain supporters of their positions. On Nov. 2, people from opposing sides of Prop. 8, one of the most highly contested props on this year’s ballot, stood along the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Imperial Highway to speak for their views on the issue of same sex marriage in California.
