Firestorm finish Eagles

The Biola women’s tennis team suffered a dominating 0-9 loss to Arizona Christian University.

One day after the Eagles suffered a 4-5 loss to Colorado Christian University, the team traveled to Arizona to play Arizona Christian University. The Firestorm beat the Eagles 8-1 earlier this season, and improved their score, beating them 9-0 on March 20.

After three doubles losses, the Eagles entered singles down 0-3. Sophomore Kelsey Post provided the closest match for Biola at fourth singles. Post lost her match by a score of 1-6, 3-6.

The second closest match came from freshman Brooke Sanford at fifth singles. Sanford fought through a close 3-6 first set, but was held from a game in the second.

This loss marks Biola's fourth 0-9 loss of the season, and extends their losing streak to four matches. The Eagles currently hold a season record of 2-12, and hold a conference record of 1-6. Their next match is against Hope International University on March 24. Biola beat Hope 8-1 earlier this season.
