The Biola women's basketball team battled Simpson University on Nov. 7 and took victory over the Red Hawks 85-63. The Eagles lost to Simpson the last time the two teams faced off, but this year's game was a completely different story.

In the first half, the Eagles hit 80 percent of free throws and had 22 rebounds, doubling the amount their opponents managed. The gameplay was close as Simpson put up a fight, but the Eagles managed to maintain a small lead throughout the first half and ended at 40-38.

The Eagles dominated the second half as they pushed through, managing a 23 point lead with seven minutes left in the game. They finished this half at 82-63.

Senior forward Elizabeth Munger stood out for the Eagles with a total of 21 points, hitting all seven of her free throw attempts for the night.

Senior forward Chelsea Hill also played a great game, managing 11 rebounds to help the Eagles to victory over the Red Hawks. Hill also helped the team with 20 points for the night.

If Biola can continue to play like this, they will put up a great fight against the Northwest Eagles who are 3-4 in overall season play.

This game brings the team's record to 2-1. The Eagles will play Northwest University on Nov. 8 in Chase Gymnasium at 3 p.m.
