The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department are currently searching on Whiterock Dr., in the neighborhood east of Hart Hall, according to an emergency notification at 3:51 p.m. Campus Safety advises students and faculty to avoid this area of campus while the search continues.

LASD and Campus Safety began searching the neighborhood south of Hart Hall for a parolee at approximately 2:30 p.m. today, according to Campus Safety's Everbridge emergency notification email. There is no risk on campus at this time.

The notification describes the suspect as a male with a goatee, wearing a black tank-top and blue shorts.
