The Eagles made the trip to play San Diego Christian University on Sept. 23 for their fourth match in Golden State Athletic Conference play. Biola dominated the court and had victory in just 74 minutes.
Biola has consistently defeated San Diego over the past four years, most of the wins being accomplished in three quick sets, this year’s first matchup was no different.

In the second set, the score stayed tight yet again. Both senior middle blocker Amy Weststeyn and junior outside hitter Joclyn Kirton had kills that helped the team excel on the court. The final score of this set was 25-22.
The last set of the night came quickly but this time around San Diego lead the scoreboard until the Eagles took a timeout with a score of 13-9.
This timeout proved exactly what the team needed and they fought to tie the score at 18-18. In the end, a kill from junior middle blocker Lauren Hoenecke brought the third set to a close at 25-22.
Some standouts from the match included junior libero Alex Brehaut, who had 11 digs to help the team win while Wetsteyn and Kirton both ended with 12 kills each. The two once again dominated the front row.
