The women’s soccer team continued their undefeated streak of 5-0 after playing against Our Lady of the Lake University on Sept. 13. Biola made a strong comeback in the second half of the first game despite not making a goal in the previous half.
In the first half of the game, forward Hayley Tiernay scored a goal for Our Lady of the Lake to put the Saints over Biola 1-0. Even though Biola put up more shots than Our Lady of the Lake, they were not able to make a connection to take the lead in the first half.
Biola entered into the second half looking for a chance to turn the game around. Biola took their chance to tie up the score when freshman midfielder Ashley Ramirez scored a goal in the 51st minute with an assist from senior midfielder Amanda Lillicrop .
Lillicrop finished out the game scoring her third goal of the season with an assist from senior midfielder Miranda Starbeck in the 89th minute, taking the Eagles to a 2-1 lead and securing a win.
The Eagles are having a strong season, successfully maintaining their undefeated streak. Their next game is on Sept. 15 against Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
