The men and women’s tennis teams watched their season come to a close on April 24 at the Ojai Valley Tournament. The day ended with the men finishing second in their division. Players on both the men and women’s teams earned All-GSAC honors.

The men fought hard throughout the tournament to end the day with a second place overall finish. Freshmen duo Lucas Lee and Luke Mountain made it to the men’s independent doubles finals before falling in three sets to Pomona Pitzer College’s Connor Sutton and Jake Yasgoor.

The women did not have the full team represented at Ojai, only two doubles teams and three singles competed. Unfortunately, all three singles competitors lost their matches in the first round of the tournament.

Sophomore Kathryn Ashford earned All-GSAC honors for the second year in a row. Ashford ranked in the top 25 NAIA competitors this year and went 11-8 in singles play. Lee also received an All-GSAC honor to end his successful first season at Biola.

The women finish their season 7-17 overall and 2-8 in Golden State Athletic Conference play. The men’s season ends with a 9-16 overall record and 4-6 in GSAC play.
