Crime Log: March 4, 2014

Three hit and runs make up this week’s crime log.

Hit and run: property damage — Lot A

Feb. 24, 1:20 p.m.

A student reported witnessing a car hitting a parked car in the parking lot near Myers Hall and leaving. The parked car sustained a minor amount of damage. Campus Safety is still investigating the incident.

Hit and run: property damage — Lot J

Feb. 25, 7:45 a.m.

Campus Safety resolved a hit-and-run incident after a student drove away from the Sigma Hall parking lot without realizing they had hit another car, causing minor damage. Campus Safety connected the two students so they could exchange information.

Hit and run: property damage — Beachcomber Apartments

Occurred prior to report on Feb. 27 at 8:20 a.m.

An unknown motorist caused minor damage to a student’s car parked on the street outside the apartments. The student who owned the vehicle did not wish to report the incident to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
