Thefts and loud music make up this week’s Crime Log.
Campus Safety Chief John Ojeisekhoba and his crew of officers put on equipment in preparation for the active shooter drill held on Wednesday, August 14. The drill coordinated with SWAT and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department to prepare officers for any situation. Petty Theft — Library
Reported Dec. 3, occurred on Dec. 2 between 2:50 p.m. and 3 p.m.
A student reported property that was left in the library stolen after returning and not locating it in the “lost and found.”
Trespassing — Lot O, near Crowell
Dec. 4 at 1:02 p.m.
Campus Safety asked an unauthorized vendor who was soliciting on campus to leave.
Grand Theft Auto — Lido Apartments, 14653 Rosecrans
Dec. 5 at 6:07 a.m.
A vehicle was stolen off the street outside of the Lido Apartments. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department also took a report of the theft. The case is currently under investigation.
Petty Theft — Tradewinds Apartments, 14615 Rosecrans
Reported on Dec. 10; occurred between Nov. 18 at 12 p.m. and Nov. 25 at 7 a.m.
A student reported a bike stolen before Thanksgiving break to Campus Safety. The theft is still under investigation.
Disturbing the Peace — Hope Hall
Dec. 7 at 12:47 a.m.
Officers responded to a complaint about loud music playing in Hope Hall after hours, but there was no noise when they arrived at the residence hall.
