Basketball after hours makes up the majority of this week’s crime log.

Disturbing the Peace — Hope Hall

Sept. 23, 11:55 p.m.
Campus Safety responded to a report of a student making noise on the basketball court, but no one was present when the officers arrived.

Disturbing the Peace — Hope Hall

Sept. 24, 12:13 a.m.
After Campus Safety officers had left the basketball court, they received another complaint about noise on the basketball court. When they returned, they spoke with the students and told them that the courts were closed.

Trespassing — Bluff Housing

Sept. 25, 7:42 p.m.       
An individual who was sitting on the grass by the Bluff Housing was told by Campus Safety officers that they were on private property. The person left without incident.

Disturbing the Peace — Hope Hall

Sept. 26, 11:22 p.m.
Campus Safety received a call about noise on the basketball courts. Officers informed the students who were playing that the court was closed.

Petty Theft — Sutherland Hall

Reported on Sept. 27, occurred on Sept. 26 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
Two instances of items taken out of offices in Sutherland Hall were reported on the same day. The thefts are currently under investigation by Campus Safety and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Vandalism — Thompson Hall

Reported on Sept. 30; occurred prior to 12:21 a.m.
An elevator in the residence hall was deliberately scratched.

Hit and Run — Lot R, soccer field parking

Oct. 1, between 9:15 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
The driver noticed new scratches on their car when they returned to their vehicle. The incident is currently under investigation by Campus Safety.
