Biola volleyball falls to Concordia in NAIA championships semifinals

The Eagles fell to Concordia University today in the NAIA championships semifinal match.

No. 4 Biola Eagles fell in four sets to rival No. 1 Concordia on Saturday in the NAIA Volleyball National Championships semifinal match. The Eagles finish their season with a record of 31-5.

Concordia took the lead early in the first set and continued to a 17-7 lead over Biola. Biola was not able to come back from behind and lost 25-17.

In the second set Biola opened with a 3-0 lead, but Concordia rallied back and Biola fell once again to Concordia 25-17.

Biola and Concordia were close in score in the third set at 12-10 Concordia. Concordia extended their lead 20-14 over Biola, however Biola was able to gain momentum and tie Concordia 24-24. Biola went on to win the third set 27-25.
  
Despite reaching set point first in the fourth set, Biola was not able to secure a win in order to force the match to go into a fifth set. Biola lost to Concordia 28-26.

Biola's season comes to a close with an overall record of 31-5.
